This should be a lot of fun. I’m appearing at my local book festival on Saturday talking about favourite books and music. Tickets are free from Porty Library but apparently going fast.

So I’m going to be on Saturday Live on Radio Four this weekend, 9am. Really looking forward to it!

So it’s Bloody Scotland festival in Stirling this weekend, and I’m doing  a few things:

Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers are playing, 10pm Friday. Tickets here.

Scotland v England Football Match, 2pm Saturday, free to watch and laugh.

Come Hell or High Concept, 7pm Saturday. Tickets here. This is with Gordon Brown and Will Carver, talking about high concept fiction, which none of us know anything about.

Crime at the Coo, 9pm Saturday. This is sold out, I’m afraid. I’ll be playing some tunes most likely.

In all the stushie around festival time, I forgot to post this. The Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers appeared on The Afternoon Show on Radio Scotland, playing tunes and chatting to Janice Forsyth and Grant Stott. You can listen here. We play ‘Psycho Killer’ at the start, then pop up at 1hr 42mins for a blether, then close the show with ‘Down in the Tube Station at Midnight’. Sounds not to shabby, I reckon.

Hey, I did a wee bit of radio journalism yesterday on The Afternoon Show on Radio Scotland, interviewing Rosy Naylor about Art Walk Porty, which she has organised. 27 mins in.

I’m stepping out from behind the drum kit this weekend, performing at the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. I’ll be reading and playing some tunes at 6pm on Saturday on the Literacy Live stage, which means you can just squeeze me in between Gaz Coombes and The Cribs. Looking forward to explaining my black eye over and over again some more.

Doug will be behind the drums again when the Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers return to the scene of our first ever show, at the Edinburgh Book Festival TONIGHT, 9pm. It’s FREE to get in, but get there early, it will be rammed. We’re also appearing on The Afternoon Show on Radio Scotland TODAY at 2pm, and Doug and Val from the band are appearing on Loose Ends on Radio Four this Saturday at 6.15pm. Fun, eh?
