Happy New Year, folks! A Dark Matter is already out in ebook and due out in paperback on 23rd January, and the blog tour for the book is already underway. See below for all the stops. News about launch events and festivals coming soon!

OK friends, my eleventh novel, A DARK MATTER, is published in ebook today by the wonderful Orenda Books (paperback in Jan 2020). It’s a real departure for me, the start of The Skelfs trilogy about three women taking over the running of a funeral directors and private investigators. Early reviews and blurbs have been utterly wonderful, so here’s hoping you like it! Links below.

This weekend is my lovely local Portobello Book Festival, with loads of great events happening. Please check em out. My own event is 5.30pm tomorrow (Sat), with some dude called Ian Rankin. Should be sweeeeet.
Hey folks, a quick post to let you know that BREAKERS is currently only 99p on Kindle. You can download it here. That’s less than a steak bake in Gregg’s, ffs. Get on it. And now I fancy a steak bake.

I want to give a massive shout out to Rosita McKenzie, a photographer who was inspired by my novel Fault Lines to create this wonderful exhibition called Uncanny Portobello, which was part of the recent Artwalk Porty festival. I was blown away by her abstract work, even more so that she drew from my book for inspiration.

Breakers is shortlisted for the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year. Deeply honoured to be in such great company! Winner is announced on 20th Sept at the Bloody Scotland festival in Stirling. See you there.

This Friday, the band are strutting our stuff at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. It’s 9pm kick-off in the Spiegeltent in Charlotte Square and it’s FREE ENTRY, but get there early cos it’s always rammed to the rafters. See you down the front!
Details here.
I’m thrilled as always to be appearing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival this Friday, 1.45pm, alongside Kate Hamer. Tickets here. Please come, or it will be empty and boring without you.
